"Dogs: A Series" from British Automatic 1953

King Charles Spaniel

This full color card was issued 71 years ago by The British Automatic Company Ltd. This beautiful card is from a set of 32 cards entitled "Dogs: A Series" to put in an album that was available at the time. The card was obtained from an automatic weighing machine. The front of the card shows an artist drawn picture of the King Charles Spaniel, while the back of the card (if used) has the date and the weight of the person who used the machine. The overprint of "Weigh Daily" is to encourage people to use the machines, but not bad advice for the care of a dog. It is made of thick card. The card measures 2 1/8" x 1 1/8" or 54mm x 28mm.
